Journalist Arlena Amaro joins Telemundo 60 San Antonio

Amaro has been named co-anchor for Noticias 60 Telemundo weekdays at 4:30pm, 5pm and 10pm

Telemundo 60 San Antonio today announced that Arlena Amaro has been named co-anchor for Noticias 60 Telemundo weekdays at 4:30pm, 5pm and 10pm. She will join co-anchor Álex Hernández, weather anchor Lilian Pérez, sports anchor Johnathan Solarte and an enterprising team of reporters to deliver breaking news and up-to-the-minute information about issues affecting the Hispanic community in San Antonio. “We are delighted that Arlena is joining Telemundo 60 and welcome her to the Alamo City. She will be a great addition to our news team and our viewers will really benefit from her passionate story-telling and commitment to keeping them informed about the news that matters to them the most,” said Luis Hernández, president and general manager of Telemundo 60. Amaro joins Telemundo 60 from Univision 23 Miami / WLTV, where she worked as a general assignment reporter and correspondent for Noticiero Univisión, Edición Nocturna and Despierta América from 2010 to 2014. Prior to this, she worked at GenTV 8 / WGEN as a legal reporter from 2009 to 2010. Amaro also worked at America CV Network in Miami as an anchor and reporter from 2007 to 2009 and at América Teve in Miami throughout 2007 as a reporter. She began her broadcast career in 2006 as an assistant producer for Noticiero Univisión.
