Cruz: I’m excited to join ESPN’s impressive roster of MLB commentators

The Puerto Rican former Major League Baseball player and Gold Glove Award winner José Cruz, Jr. has joined the ESPN team as an MLB analyst and will make his first appearance on Baseball Tonight May 16. Cruz will also be contributing to Béisbol Esta Noche on ESPN Deportes.“I’m excited to join ESPN’s impressive roster of MLB commentators” Cruz expressed. “I accumulated a wealth of knowledge and perspective during my playing career and I’m eager to share those insights on Baseball Tonight.”In the MLB, Cruz played 12 seasons and won the Rawlings Gold Glove Award in 2003 as a member of the San Francisco Giants. Beginning his MLB career in 1997 with the Seattle Mariners, Cruz retired 11 years later with the Houston Astros in 2008.
