On the mark of the 15th anniversary of CNN en Español, PRODU spoke with José Bandes, Ad Sales, director of CNNE US, who stressed the immense growth of opportunities in advertising that have emerged for companies interested in ads on CNNE US. “We have a unique offer in what is news and also the integration of our softer news and lifestyle programs. We offer not only the credibility of CNNE but also softer news, which we can integrate and mention products on CNN, without interfering with the news. We can get our advertisers closer to our content in a unique way easily executed for the sponsor” Bandes expressed. Bandes commented that recently the company signed Nissan as a sponsor of the election coverage on TV and online. Another element that Bandes said would diversify the opportunities for ad sales is the aggressive plan to expand the distribution of the signal in the Hispanic market. “We have an aggressive distribution plan being overseen by Cynthia Hudson. This year, we’re going to expand distribution in two important markets for Latinos in the US, Miami and New York. This will allow us to have national and local sales strategies and diversify our portfolio” Bandes explained.
