The Turkish-origin format Enamorándonos arrives at Imagen Televisión, marking the first joint effort with EndemolShine Boomdog, who have become producers of this Mexican version. The show, which will premiere next Monday at 5:30pm, will be hosted by Mauricio Mancera and Gaby Ramírez. In an interview, Julia Tradd, Executive Director of Physical Production at EndemolShine Boomdog, and Mauro Castillejos, General Director of Programming, Production, and Acquisitions at Imagen Televisión, discussed this return to Mexican television.
“The process went very well because we are on the same page. We aim to reach Mexican TV and families. We have great confidence in the original Turkish format, with whom we have a close relationship; they even came to advise us. We included all the original elements, like a live band and an extensive casting team, ensuring we have real people looking for love. This originality and heart are key to our version,” said Julia Tradd.
Castillejos revealed that there will be 255 episodes, totaling a year of broadcast for this format: “We considered various formats for our growth and evolution plan. It was important to bring a reality show to our screen. We realized Enamorándonos is a reference not just in Mexico but in other countries too. If done right, it’s very family-friendly and entertaining.” He added that summer was the perfect time to launch it, attracting young viewers who will find this program appealing.
A crucial aspect of this production was working with EndemolShine Boomdog, a producer with expertise in these formats: “We didn’t want to proceed without partnering with someone knowledgeable and fully equipped to produce it. This marks the beginning of a great working relationship between our companies,” Castillejos added.
For Imagen Televisión, the goal is to gradually expand their live programming: “These are two more hours added to our schedule, replacing reruns. Our future project is to have a fully active channel from 6 am to 12 am.”
Enamorándonos is a reality show dedicated to love. This return features new participants, new hosts, and new production, aiming to appeal to the new generations.
