¡HOLA! TV taps Rolando Figueroa as director of Affiliate Sales

Figueroa will develop the network’s short- and long-term distribution strategy in conjunction with MBA Networks and Imagina US

Readying to significantly expand its distribution in the coming months, ¡HOLA! TV is bolstering its affiliate relations team with the addition of Rolando Figueroa, director, Affiliate Sales, U.S. and Latin America. With a deep understanding of the international pay TV industry, particularly across Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market, Figueroa will develop the network’s short- and long-term distribution strategy in conjunction with MBA Networks and Imagina US. He will lead ¡HOLA! TV’s charge for greater penetration throughout the Spanish-speaking Americas, where the network already is making significant inroads, and its expansion later this year to Mexico and the U.S. Hispanic market. He joins ¡HOLA! TV having worked over the past 15 years at some of the most important content producers and distributors, including MGM Networks, Carsey-Werner Television, Endemol Distribution, and BBC Latin America. The addition of Figueroa comes at a time of great growth and remarkable demand for ¡HOLA! TV. Having sewn up new distribution in Bolivia, Paraguay and The Dominican Republic in January, this week Intercable DTH in Venezuela became the latest cable operator to partner with the region’s fast growing ratings darling. “Gaining wider distribution and cementing our line up continue to be our top priorities as we look to solidify our reach throughout the region and expand to new markets. We’re making significant investments to bolster our programming and our executive ranks to position ourselves for even greater growth in the months to come,” said Ignacio Sanz de Acedo, CEO and general manager while on his way to Andina Link in Cartagena, Colombia. ¡HOLA! TV has acquired two new series that will be making their Spanish-language Latin America debuts next month: Especiales Realeza: Chef des Chefs and Especiales Realeza: Alberto de Mónaco – Power & Intimacy: A Year with the Prince of Mónaco. These shows will premiere March 8 and March 14, 2014, respectively.
