HITN: Shows like Mundo Salvaje foster family co-viewing like no other genre

Conferencia de Mundo Salvaje con Ron Magill de HITN
HITN TV introduced online the third season of Mundo Salvaje (10×60’) with Ron Magill, this time featuring Yellowstone National Park. This new season will debut Monday the 31st at 9pm on HITN with a two-hour episode and will be available at any time through the HITN GO mobile app.
The virtual presentation of Mundo Salvaje con Ron Magill included Guillermo Sierra, director of Television and Digital Services; Erika Vogt-Lowell, director of Programming and Acquisitions; Laura Masnatta, executive producer; Magill, the conservationist and photographer who for the third consecutive year leads the show; and Gil Molina, a ranger from Yellowstone National Park.
“Mundo Salvaje is a very good complement for HITN’s programming, which this year reaches its 40th anniversary. Programs about nature have always been very important for HITN because they encourage family co-viewing, something that hardly happens with other genres. This year we are focusing more on the Americas’ species and their biodiversity. We decided to produce this season in Yellowstone, the epitome of national biodiversity conservation, to feature every LatAm habitat,” said Sierra.
The third season of Mundo Salvaje will be the first HITN show to feature DiCapta’s functions (for captioning, video description, among other duties).
According to Magill and Masnatta, the production challenges included the intense temperature shifts at Yellowstone. Masnatta added that with the broadcast of Mundo Salvaje, they will be launching a contest for the audience with keys that will be revealed in each episode. The producer praised the work of the director of Photography, Renato Lombardi and Gustavo Acosta.
The two-hour premiere will feature a behind-the-scenes episode of the series and will feature the Pantanal, the world’s largest tropical wetland in Brazil, and the Cerrado, the largest savannah region in South America.
This new season of Mundo Salvaje con Ron Magill focuses on different ecosystems within Latin America, from Patagonia and the plains of the Orinoco River to the Amazon jungle and the Andes Mountains.
