Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network, Inc. (HITN) announced that its partnership with Comcast will add four million new subscribers. “We thank Comcast for their partnership in our expansion strategy. This growth in distribution positions us well to provide our community access to educational programming and life-long learning opportunities to increase educational attainment. We will leverage our relationships with community-based organizations to increase awareness about our availability in new markets to ensure we provide more viewers the tools they need to navigate successful lives in the U.S.,” said HITN president and CEO José Luis Rodríguez. “Comcast is excited to be bringing more Hispanic programming to many more of our customers across the U.S. This increased distribution of HITN and our growing partnership with them is an important part of our strong commitment to Latino audiences,” added David Jensen, VP of Content Acquisition for Comcast Cable.HITN’s expanded distribution includes seven all new markets with growing numbers of Hispanics as indicated by the U.S. 2010 Census data: Atlanta, GA; Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN; Miami, FL and Indianapolis, IN.
