The signal Pasiones, from Hemisphere Media Group´s portfolio, continues an aggressive expansion in Latin America with several launches in the region. As well as launching on Claro´s DTH platform, Pasiones has increased its penetration in Claro´s offer in Peru. It is also strengthening its presence in other territories after recently being included in the new DTH platform in Claro Paraguay. The channel can now also be found in TuVes Chile and Bolivia and will be increasing its penetration in additional territories with this same pay TV operator, said Alan Sokol, president and CEO of Hemisphere Media Group. When consulted about the market, Sokol said that although it is showing important economic challenges, it continues to grow and there are still a lot of opportunities to grow and increase penetration of the channels in the group. New platforms, both belonging to current operators and new players in the industry, offer growth opportunities, he expressed.Sokol added that they are aware that the traditional pay TV model is changing and they are evaluating different opportunities to maintain their relevance and deliver content to TV viewers as, when and where they want. For now, we are going to continue acquiring and producing unique and attractive content that viewers cannot find anywhere else, he emphasized.Pasiones next launches include the Brazilian novela Flor del Caribe (120×60), from Globo, and the telenovela Triunfo del Amor, produced by Televisa, starring William Levy and Maite Perroni.
