Dionne Bermúdez, Product Manager at HBO Max, reported during the launch event of its app that the service will be available for smartphones, tablets, smartTV, or other devices. Once it is downloaded, users will be able to freely explore the content’s offer. This catalog is curated by a specialized team to meet the users’ preferences in each market.
It will have a “sampling zone” consisting of a selection of series and documentaries where they offer the first episodes without the need to subscribe.
There will be two plans for the user to choose the one that suits him best: The Standard, which offers access to three users simultaneously and up to five profiles, content download and the possibility of accessing high definition videos; and the Mobile, designed for an individual experience on smartphones and tablets, but with the same catalog.
The content search of the app is very simple and the image quality is automatically adapted according to the device and to the data download speed of the network that is being used. You can also select the language and add subtitles.
“The platform adapts to each user and offers the content that interests them most through a combination of personal human selection and data-driven knowledge,” she noted.
In addition, the platform will offer an experience specially designed for children, with flexible parental controls and the possibility for parents to create child profiles with content appropriate to their age.
