HBO Max arrives in Spain and other European countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Andorra on Tuesday, October 26th. Andy Forsell, EVP and General Manager of HBO Max; Christina Sulebak, general manager, HBO Max EMEA; Priya Dogra President of WarnerMedia EMEA and Asia (excluding China), and Johannes Larcher, Head of HBO Max International; offered details of the service during a virtual event.
Sulebak announced that Warner Bros. films will premiere on the platform just 45 days after their debut in cinemas, at no additional cost, first for the Nordic countries (Spain will have this benefit in 2022). In Spain, HBO Max service has a fee of 8.99 euros per month. They also offered an annual subscription to HBO Max for new customers, where they only pay the equivalent of eight months.
With this move, HBO Max will reach 60 countries in early 2022, when 14 more will be included: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia, and Portugal.
