HBO began working on a new original production made in Argentina. It is Entre Hombres, a 4-episode miniseries, based on the homonymous novel by the Argentinean Germán Maggiori.
The production will be made, together with Pol-ka under the direction of Pablo Fendrik, who was also director of El Jardín de Bronce. The script was written by Maggiori himself, in collaboration with Fendrik.
“At HBO we continue betting on good stories. In this sense, Argentina has always been a source of talent and inspiration for our productions. Entre Hombres is a visceral piece and we are very proud with this new project that will enable us to take this magnificent cult novel to a big audience on the screen of HBO,” assured Roberto Ríos, VP Corporate Original Production at HBO Latin America.
It includes the executive production of Luis Peraza, Ríos and Paul Drago, on behalf of HBO Latin America Originals, and of Adrián Suar and Diego Andrasnik on behalf of Pol-Ka.
The book was born as a black police novel created by Maggiori a bit before Argentina entered in its 2001 crisis, presenting a troubled urban landcape, marked by intense violence and moral, political and social. decomposition.
