HBO licenses 10-episodes series Outpost and one-hour special Hate in America with Jorge Ramos from Fusion. This is the first time HBO is partnering with Univision. The series Outpost (10×30’) guides audiences through an immersive exploration of Latin America, offering authentic local perspectives on cultural idiosyncrasies, subcultures, environmental matters and adventure sports. The one-hour special Hate in America with Jorge Ramos examines the state of hate in America, from white separatists to anti-immigrant activists, investigating why hatred seems to be growing and who is feeding it.“This generation has an insatiable curiosity about the world around them and we are thrilled to be partnering with HBO as we take viewers on a journey to examine an array of diverse cultures and perspectives. This is a tremendous opportunity for Fusion to extend its commitment to serving a multicultural millennial audience across a broad range of platforms — and it also speaks to the high quality, meaningful storytelling that our Story House team is dedicated to producing,” said Isaac Lee, CEO of Fusion and Chief News and Digital Officer for Univision: Outpost and Hate in America with Jorge Ramos are developed and produced by Univision’s recently launched Univision Story House, an original content development and production team designed to create innovative stories and formats for Univision’s internal platforms including Fusion as well as third party general market networks. Writer, producer and director Juan Rendón, who founded Univision´s Documentaries Division, will spearhead the new Univision Story House. Rendón is the writer of Outpost.
