The health and well-being OTT {Hapy TV:www.Hapy.tv}, led by Guillermo Sierra, founder and CEO, recently closed its first agreement with the Colombian pay TV operator, ETB.”We are already on the air with ETB in Colombia and are integrated with ToolBox, which allows us to be connected to the billing systems of 90% of pay TV operators in Latin America. That is a great advantage,” stated Sierra to PRODU. He added that the platform was officially launched in October this year, and recalled that it was presented for the first time in Natpe 2015.He commented that they expect to announce new agreements during Natpe 2016 in Miami Beach. The platform´s scope is only Latin America, but they are in negotiations to cater to Asia, the US and Spain in a next phase. Sierra is accompanied by a group of veteran TV executives, such as Javier Casella, Zulay Anzola, Ramón Solomón and Leticia Vidal (Mexico), and José Miguel Barrera (Spain) to pinpoint distribution agreements in the different markets. Soon, someone will join the team to be in charge of South America.”The plataform has had good response. The most important thing is that now the operator has the bandwidth to offer an OTT that has more value than a simple video. Hapy is a health and well-being platform with access to information and consultation”, said Sierra. He said that in the trial phase there were 5 thousand free medical consultations and acceptation was 90 to 97%.
