Globo will attend yet another edition of Berlinale to be held on February 15-25 in Berlin, Germany. The company’s general director, Carlos Henrique Schroder, will present the new batch of series at the festival.
The showing is part of Globo Studios’ strategy to reach out to international partners to co-produce content. On February 20 at 6pm, at Zoo Plast 5, Globo Studios will showcase series such as Under Pressure, Jailers, and Above Justice, as well as the premiere of Thirteen Days Away From the Sun in the international market, among others. Schroder will make the opening speech for the presentation.
Blending together comedy and suspense, starring Tony Ramos and Monica Iozzi, Vade Retro was individually selected for the Drama Series Days, which gathers professionals from around the world to present and market series. Director Mauro Mendonça Filho will present Vade Retro, showing the first two episodes on February 20 at 3pm in Zoo Plast 4.
Berlinale 2018 will set the stage for Globo to showcase the strength of its high-quality productions featuring universal stories for different audiences worldwide. The company has been attending renowned film and television festivals, and its productions have already been shown in events such as Toronto International Film Festival (Canada), Punta del Este International Film Festival (Uruguay), Fantasporto (Portugal), Series Mania Australia, Series Fest in Denver (USA), Festival of Geneva (Switzerland), Series Mania, Mip Drama Screenings, and FIPA (all three in France). This is the second time Globo will attend Berlinale.
