Isadora Filpi, Globo’s Content Distribution and Partnerships: It is an important step towards expanding Globo’s presence in the AVOD business model
To bring its telenovelas and series to AVOD platforms, Globo has signed a partnership with Canela Media. With the agreement, fourteen Globo titles will be available in Canela Media’s AVOD catalog, with distribution to the United States and Latin America (except Brazil).
Among the highlights in the catalog are series such as Anti-Kidnapping Unit and Merciless’, and successful telenovelas on the international market such as The Life We Lead, Total Dreamer, Sweet Diva, Empire, Edge of Desire, and Precious Pearl.
Recently, Globo launched a catalog of telenovelas and series for AVOD platforms, in line with a global market trend. In addition to Canela Media, Globo’s productions are also on Butaca TV, Pluto TV, and ViX, with content updates that are constantly evolving.
“This is our first agreement with Canela Media and we believe it is an important step towards expanding Globo’s presence in the AVOD business model. Latin America and the Hispanic United States are important territories for us, who already know our products, so having another distribution window is a way to reach new audiences”, comments Isadora Filpi, Globo’s Content Distribution and Partnerships.
