Global OTT plus pay TV and telcos income reached US$410 thousand in 2017

According to the latest Dataxis research, conducted on 80 pay TV, OTT, and telecommunications players, global income reached US$410 thousand million for the fourth quarter of 2017.

During a seminar on the topic, Dataxis presented the analysis and commented that the income had a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 1%, from US$381 billion in Q116.

Additionally, the companies’ market share, in relation to the income, shows that the ten main players represent 59% of the total world income. The top five in that group are AT&T Group, Verizon, NTT, China Mobile and Deutsche Telekom.
