TV personality Giselle Blondet comes to Telemundo as host of the much anticipated reality show Gran Hermano (Big Brother), airing for the first time in Spanish-language television starting Sunday, January 10th at 8pm/7c. After concluding the auditions of over 5,000 Hispanics from across the country, a group of 14 strangers, seven men and seven women, commit to living together in a house sealed off from the outside world, equipped with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This new home will become a sociological experiment, where emotions are magnified, creating stories of love, hate, friendship, as well as tension and arguments during a three-month period. Every week, housemates will nominate each other and the audience will decide with their vote who will leave the house until the last house guest remains, winning a grand prize of US$250,000.During Gran Hermano, viewers can enjoy an extended live programming schedule on Telemundos screen dedicated exclusively to the development of the reality show, nominations and elimination of the housemates. In addition to the Sunday galas highlighting the best of each week and the last moments before participants are eliminated, the network will air Gran Hermano: La Novela, a daily recap airing at 12am/11pm CT. Every Wednesday at 7pm/6c, there will be a special show featuring the intimate life of each housemate before they are nominated for elimination.
