Gerardo Casanova Espn
The Walt Disney Company Latin America appointed Gerardo Casanova Head of Sports in the company’s integrated business in Mexico, exclusively assuming the leadership of ESPN in that country. Casanova will report dually to Guillermo Tabanera, general manager Media Networks, DTCI Latin America and Federico Alaman, general manager of The Walt Disney Company Mexico.
As direct responsible for the management of ESPN Mexico, Casanova is in charge of developing the strategy and execution, together with the acquisitions, programming, and content production team (linear and digital), and working with the rest of the business lines in everything related with sales (affiliate sales, ad sales, digital and the other areas).
Casanova has more than 17 years of experience in communication media and has an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
