This week in Mexico City, FremantleMedia Mexico will start shooting the game show 100 Latinos Dijeron (Family Feud), for Estrella TV, that will go out in the air during the first quarter of 2019, reported Coty Cagliolo, general director of FremantleMedia Mexico. “We are very happy, because it is a partnership that we are posing for the long term with Estrella TV, and for this agreement to be made with an emblematic Fremantle program is excellent,” she said.
Cagliolo explained that Family Feud is a program that never left the region. “There is a trend we are seeing in open TV that is a return to the traditional game show, as a daily, family program, accessible for networks and that allows very effective production models. This program, in particular, has the advantages of being very familiar, with lots of humor and very funny, and for a slot such as the one Estrella is planning, it is ideal.”
The pluriannual license with Fremantle to produce the version in Spanish of Family Feud was signed in October last year. It is being shot in two stages, in the first half of the year and in the second semester of 2019. The current initial stage will continue until the end of February. A great deal of the casting has been done already, but they continue to choose participants.
“Family Feud is a big part of the history of Fremantle. The format has brought us great success and we have no doubt that 100 Latinos Dijeron will continue entertaining viewers in the US,” said Cagliolo.
