BBC Worldwide announced the team that will lead business and operations in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market.The team, based out their new offices in Miami, will report to Fred Medina, Executive VP and General Manager of BBC Worldwide for Latin American and U.S. Hispanic, and will be responsible for finance and strategic planning in the region. Medina reports to Paul Dempsey, President of Global Markets of BBC Worldwide.The new executives joining the team include Karen Harrison, VP of Finance, now in charge of development and management of finances in the region; Alejandra Olea, VP of Integrated Sales, heading the group in charge of channel distribution, programming and format sales, among others; and Janel Downing, Director of Formats and Co-Productions, reporting to Olea.David Hanono, Director of Digital Development, will lead the digital video business in the region and will acts as consultant on digital issues for Latin America. Rafael Álamo is the new Manager of Human Resources. Executives who were already part of the division include former vice president of programming Gareth Williams, now VP of Brand Services, a new position that oversees the departments of Creative, On-Air, and Market Research, as well as Programming and Channel Strategy. Sergio Leos, VP of Marketing and Advertising Sales, will continue to handle marketing for all the companys business areas. He will also be in charge of developing ad sales for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic.Others include Alessandro Stroscio, VP of Consumer Products; Alexander Torres, VP of Business and Legal Affairs; Frank Novo, Director of Operations; and Viviana Rubinstein, Director of Communications and Public Relations.
