According to Salomón Padilla, VP of ATIM, this year, the fair managed to exceed in 50% the size of the exhibition, compared to 2016, and more than 2 thousand people registered and attended the event. There, they announced the launch of the channel Xti TV, created by the Association, which will reflect Mexico´s diversity and integrate all the regions of the country.
The most outstanding announcements of the first day included the launch of a new FOZ OTT platform that will gather the content of all the group´s signals, in the aim to generate original content that will complement and be differentiated from the existing market offer.
“We are migrating FOX Play to an OTT format, available through Claro Video. This broadens and massifies content consumption, and allows us to move towards functionality and portability. Original productions will be part of this platform as the main differentiator, and they will be made by Estudios Teleméxico,” ended Federico Alamán, Senior VP and General Manager of FOX International Channels in Mexico.
