FOX Sports Latin America signs exclusive multi-year agreement with Mexican soccer club Pachuca

FOX Sports announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with the first division Mexican soccer club Pachuca, granting FOX Sports Latin America exclusive television broadcasting rights and non-exclusive online rights over all local matches played by Club Pachuca including: Liga MX, Copa MX, friendly games, and tournaments as of the next Torneo Apertura 2014. Through the acquisition of these rights for Club Pachuca and extension of previous rights for exclusive broadcasting of matches played by Club León, FOX Sports will become the first pan regional pay TV group to broadcast weekly and exclusive live games of the Liga MX to millions of homes in Latin America, Asia, Europe and Africa through its portfolio of international channels. “Club Pachuca is one of the most traditional and important clubs in Mexico, the birthplace of Mexican soccer, winner of national and international titles and current Sub-Champion, we are confident that this agreement will be welcomed by fans. FOX Sports has been close to Club Pachuca for more than ten years, we share their values, vision and passion for sport. We are very excited about bringing back Club Pachuca and Club León and being able to carry the passion of Mexican soccer through our FOX Sports channels around the world,” says Carlos Martínez, president of FOX International Channels Latin America. “The agreement with Club Pachuca reinforces our solid sports offer; together with our Entertainment, Lifestyle and Documentaries channels makes FIC Latin America the pay TV operator with the most diversified and complete content offer,” added Lorenzo Orozco, senior VP and general manager of FOX International Channels Mexico.
