FOX Deportes’ Spanish-language broadcast of 2013-2014 UEFA Champions League season ranks as the most-watched

FOX Deportes’ coverage of Real Madrid’s comeback performance over Atletico de Madrid at the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday, May 24 was the No. 1 Spanish-language program for the day delivering 1.224 million viewers and 749,000 P18-49 according to Nielsen Media Research. The match which resulted in Real Madrid’s 10th championship, the most of any team in the tournament, was FOX Deportes’ third most-watched match in network history and the highest-rated since the 2011 UEFA Champions League final. The final also delivered +74% more Hispanic viewers (1.197MM vs. 689k) than last year’s all German final. This year’s UEFA Champions League season is also now the most-watched in the history of the tournament’s Spanish-language broadcast, breaking the mark set during the 2012-2013 season. In addition to the network taking the top spot, it also held the top seven most-watched sports programs for the day leading with its in-depth post-game coverage with 704,000 Total Viewers and 493,000 P18-49, followed by its pre-game coverage which delivered 199,000 Total Viewers and 113,000 P18-49.
