EstrellaTV and Fremantle are set to co-produce 100 Latinos Dijeron, the Spanish-language version of the American classic game show, Family Feud, which has spawned multiple adaptations in over 50 international markets outside of the United States.
Most recently, the Steve Harvey fronted US version of the classic game show received critical acclaim in both Spanish-language and general markets in the US.
EstrellaTV and Fremantle entered a multiyear co-production agreement that will see Family Feud on EstrellaTV. The EstrellaTV Network will begin airing its Spanish-language version of Family Feud in early 2019, and the celebrity host will be announced in January 2019.
“We are excited to bring this new adaptation of Family Feud to Hispanic audiences in the US, because it’s in line with EstrellaTV’s strategy of providing Spanish-language content that is not only entertaining but also relevant to Latinos living here in the United States,” stated Lenard Liberman, CEO, LBI Media, parent company to the EstrellaTV Network.
“Family Feud is a huge part of Fremantle’s history. The format has brought us a lot of success and we have no doubt that 100 Latinos Dijeron will continue to entertain viewers in the US,” said Coty Cagliolo, manager director, Fremantle, Mexico.
