The new Estrella MediaCo (formerly Estrella Media) announced during their presentation at the IAB NewFronts that they have finalized an alliance with Curiosity Inc. to launch three FAST channels from this factual content brand – Curiosity Español, Curiosity Animales, and Curiosity Motores – which will debut first on Samsung TV Plus. These FAST channels add to those already available from the company: EstrellaTV, Estrella News, Estrella Games, and Cine EstrellaTV.
Estrella also revealed that they have grown 28% year over year in connected TV (CTV), adding 13 million CTV viewers.
The presentation was led by Steve Mandala, Chief Revenue and Local Media Officer, and René Santaella, Chief Digital and Streaming Officer. EstrellaTV news anchor, Nour Milla, provided audience insights.

“We are a content-first company, with strong distribution platforms that make content available anywhere and anytime for our followers,” Mandala stated.
Santaella noted that they have led the Spanish-language FAST expansion in the industry and it’s an “exciting growth moment for us.” He added that they are widely distributed in FAST and their app continues to experience “tremendous organic growth.” He cited an “almost 30% increase in reach” across all their channels in 2023, “and that comes from our focus on being the best in streaming distribution.”
FAST CHANNEL ESTRELLATV AVAILABLE IN MEXICO
During the event, they announced that the EstrellaTV FAST channel is now available on Samsung TV Plus in Mexico.
Additionally, the company finalized an alliance with Hallmark Channel en español to place over 90 titles on its app and linear channels, with weekend programming of selected titles presented on linear EstrellaTV.
Estrella will also be featuring 300 hours of Hemisphere content on the EstrellaTV app.
The company will launch an optimized update of its EstrellaTV app this month.
