SportsCenter Semana de La Mujer
For the fifth consecutive year, SportsCenter Semana de La Mujer (Ladies Week) returns to ESPN Deportes on Monday, October 13 through Saturday, October 18 during the SportsCenter nightly editions. Ladies Week will be hosted by four of the networks top female sports anchors: Adriana Monsalve, Carolina Guillén, Kary Correa and Carolina Padrón. The shows will also feature the participation of ESPNs Karin Ontiveros, Claudia Trejos and Nelly Simón. In addition to daily news, analysis, and exclusive interviews, the ESPN Deportes Ladies Week will feature special segments around womens role in the world of sports today, breast cancer awareness, celebrities favorite athletes and in-depth profiles on ESPN Deportes female talent. Among special guests joining Ladies Week: Top-ranked Mexican golfer Lorena Ochoa, current International Racquetball Federation World Champion Paola Longoria, Mexican track and field champion Ana Gabriela Guevara, Olympic diver Paola Espinosa, Mexicos women national soccer team star Maribel Domínguez, and Piojo Miguel Herreras daughter Mishelle Herrera. Adding to the week-long special broadcast, Claudia Trejos will join ESPN Deportes boxing show Golpe a Golpe for a special show dedicated to women in boxing, featuring in-depth pieces.
