Vengo Con El Fuego ESPN
ESPN Deportes premiered a new theme song for its coverage of the 2018 MLB season featuring Latin Grammy-winning artist, Milly Quezada. Titled Vengo con el Fuego, the theme song features La Reina del Merengue, collaborating for the first time with her son and up-and-coming artist, Tonio Vásquez.
Vengo con el Fuego premiered this past Sunday during ESPN Deportes’ Cleveland Indians vs. Houston Astros Sunday Night Baseball telecast.
“In my 40-year career in the music industry, accepting the invitation to sing baseball music is a wonderful thing. Being able to fuse merengue with baseball is something that does not happen every day. Both are the essence of the Dominican Republic and of lovers of the genre in the Caribbean and around the world,” said Quezada.
The song was produced and written by Leonte Landino, producer of Béisbol Esta Noche, ESPN Deportes’ two-time Sports Emmy nominated baseball show, and arranged by Grammy nominee, music producer and sound engineer Agustín Espina.
