ESPN Deportes launches new This is SportsCenter commercial

ESPN Deportes unveils a new This is SportsCenter campaign featuring Lineal Middleweight World Champion Canelo Álvarez and undefeated WBC, WBA and IBO Middleweight World Champion Gennady Golovkin (GGG) in anticipation of their upcoming rematch scheduled for Saturday, September 15.

The spot will debut on the 11pm ET edition of SportsCenter on ESPN Deportes (U.S.) and on ESPN throughout Mexico and Central America.

Titled Shared Cube, the commercial mirrors Canelo and GGG’s rivalry as their boxing instincts are triggered in an ESPN office setting by the ding of a microwave.

The commercial also features legendary boxer, Chairman, and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, Óscar De la Hoya, alongside ESPN Deportes’ SportsCenter anchor Jorge Eduardo Sánchez. In addition, ESPN.Com will feature a slightly modified English-language version of the commercial featuring SportsCenter anchor Stan Verrett.

The commercial was created in-house by ESPN Deportes’ marketing team and was shot at ESPN studios in Los Angeles.
