eOne: Seeking to expand in LatAm

David Hanono, as Sales VP for Latin America at eOne Entertainment´s goal, is to raise the company´s positioning in the region.

“eOne is a very big drama production company and it also has many roots in films in the US and the entire world. Now, the point is to see how I can position those products in Latin America. Obviously, we already have partners in the region, such as FOX and NBCUniversal, that have our products. But we want to see how to better position new products such as Deputy, that just came out on FOX US, for it to have more growth and that is our situation with an array of different products,” explains Hanono.

Along with Deputy, eOne is offering the series Nurses, the dramedy Upright (8×30’), the drama Between Two Worlds, factual content like Inside China and seven new hours of documentaries on royalty.

He highlighted that they have a lot of things on the pipeline, dramas that will be announced this year and that already partnered with ABC, FOX in the US. “We have a great deal of robust, high premium products. But, aside from that, we are looking for a partner we can talk to in Latin America with whom we can co-produce, with whom we can make something original, a joint development,” he added.

When consulted on digital platforms and what they represent for eOne, Hanono expressed that they are very important. “Since we are a content production company and not a channel, digital platforms mean a great deal of growth for us.”
