English Club TV is taking its first steps in Mexico, and thanks to the agreement with Castalia (Miguel Torres-Bohl), its agent in Latin America, they launched the channel on the platforms WhereverTV Latino and Star TV México.
“We are making an effort to expand our distribution in the region and think our channel is a valuable asset for local providers’ TV package offers. Our linear TV channels and VOD packages are entertaining and useful for all TV viewers,” commented Andrew Semchenko, CEO of English Club TV Group.
He added that the company’s mission is to develop innovative educational products and improve English learning around the world. “We make an effort to reduce inequality of educational opportunities, offering our TV viewers an effective and accessible educational tool,” he highlighted.
According to Andrew Semchenko, Mexico is currently the largest television market per number of subscribers, and the second largest per income generated, after Brazil. Additionally, the market has great potential: Mexico is expected to represent around 30% of the region´s pay TV subscribers. Therefore, it is essential for all the companies to be present in the market, and to know, and fully satisfy its needs.
The channel has adapted to the changes in media consumption: along with linear TV channels and VOD packages, they offer special mobile applications, aimed at the B2C and B2 segment.
