eContent TV: Wine Outsiders is our first bet on an original series

eContent TV is debuting in its own original content. With a documentary series about ancient vineyards in Spain. “The series – the working title is Wine Outsiders (Lo Que Esconde el Vino)– features those signature vineyards that are being rescued in different regions of Spain” explained Félix M. Méndez, principal and executive producer of eContentTV / eContent Digital. He added that one of the elements that make it very interesting is addressing individuals whose profession has nothing to do with wine production, but who are passionate about it and have devoted themselves to rescuing wine strains no longer produced in Spain. “It is our first bet on an original series.”

He said that they have five and a half hours ready and that the recording covers vineyards in Galicia, La Rioja, the Basque Country, Andalusia, and on the outskirts of Madrid.

The first season of the series, which is expected to have several editions, was directed by Yamila Constantino (managing partner of eContent TV) the executive producer. Elena Alonzo de Terán was hired as showrunner, “because she is a specialist in these issues.” While Álvaro Crespo, who has been working with eContent TV for 12 years, was the assistant director.

As Méndez and Constantino declare themselves lovers of good food, they want to continue producing “zero kilometer products” which are all those surrounding the vineyards.

“This project began development in November 2021 and we just finished filming. Now we’re going into post-production and color correction. We are talking to streamers. The idea is to place it on platforms and some in New York are interested in this market. It will be available in Spanish and in English,” Méndez explained.

Méndez added that eContent TV has evolved and now also has a digital marketing agency very well received by clients.

They have developed 20 programs that are being broadcast by Telemundo 47 in New York for Montefiore Hospital in the area of branded content. “We are the hospital’s Hispanic agency on record, we do social listening and analytics for them.”
