Dish: We are the pay-TV provider with most channels in Spanish

For Alfredo Rodríguez, VP Dish Network and the Latin Center of Excellence, the current trend is in favor of streaming, which is pressing forward in the entertainment industry, in particular in terms of the technology that all have at hand, such as cell phones, tablets, computers, and smart TVs. “This makes us rethink our strategy in the pay-TV market to offer better possibilities to our clients, quality content in Spanish and English, and better products. We now have Hopper+, one of the most advanced technologies that provide a transparent interface for users and makes it easy for them to watch their favorite shows with just one click. Thanks to our content and technology, we are the pay-TV provider with the most channels in Spanish.”

This year, 55 channels, including ViX, have been added and integrated into the DishLATINO channel guide. “Within our platform, users can access VIX+ at a very competitive price. Sports and entertainment channels such as soap operas are some of the favorites for our customers,” he said.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, DishLATINO presents an on-demand section called Celebrando el Mes de la Herencia Hispana (Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month) with several movie titles in Spanish and English that highlight “our Hispanicity” in the content. This includes exclusive titles from a retrospective of the best films from the Hola México Film Festival, content that will be available at no additional cost to DishLATINO customers.

Some of the films that will be available are Frida, Los Adioses, Ni Tú ni Yo, Nosotros Los nobles, Internal Affairs, Good Trouble, The Latin Explosion: A new America, Quiero Mis quinces, Café con Aroma de Mujer, Instructions not included, among other titles.
