Discovery Networks is working on its multiplatform and they hope to have news this year in the aim to offer affiliated subscribers a better experience, according to what Arnoldo Adame, Affiliate Sales Regional director at Discovery Network Mexico said while at Expo Canitec 2015.”Discovery has been working for a while on a platform for these second screens, to deliver quality contents that distinguish Discovery to subscribers with support from our affiliates. We still don’t have a name for it but it will be a different experience for our users”, he said. Regarding its channels, he highlighted the increase of subscribers on the basic packages of its channel Turbo, which now has 500,000 and estimates to duplicate this amount to reach a million at the end of 2015.”The content comes from different sources, mainly from the USA, but now we are strengthening it with the recent announcements and AeroSports to have an important variety of what we have in terms of content for Turbo. We have seen people’s positive response because people ask for this. We want to offer diversity within this channel”, he added.
