Discovery, Inc. announced the launch of Food Network Kitchen, the first product in its class, direct to consumer, that offers consumers live interactive cooking instructions every week with global culinary experts, as well as more than 800 classes on demand, among others.
This announcement includes a historical collaboration between Discovery and Amazon to offer Food Network Kitchen through Amazon Alexa and Echo Show, Fire Tablets, Fire TV and smart TV devices with Fire TV Edition.
Food Network Kitchen will be launched at the end of October 2019 in the US and will also be available on mobile iOS and Android devices. In 2020, it will be incorporated into additional platforms and devices.
David Zaslav, president and CEO, Discovery Inc., assured that they are reimagining the direct-to-consumer experience, not only as another entertainment service but as the “Food Squad”, accessible to everyone.
