Víctor Hugo Montero, CEO, De La Hoya TV
More than a channel, De La Hoya TV, project that became known in January this year, is a distribution multiplatform that already has a launching date: It will be Saturday May 30th with a great celebration in Midtown Miami. Víctor Montero, CEO of De La Hoya TV, told PRODU that the channel is being launched on its own OTT platform, first for Hispanic US, then in Mexico and the rest of Latin America, and later, in English for the Anglo market. The channel has already produced 120 hours of original programming and has acquired cans in Monaco’s Sportel, which will be adapted to the grid.”In barely six months we have done great things. We built our first studio and soon we’ll build the second one. We have a very interesting programming grid. We will go out on the air with a six hour programming that has four repetitions. He said their own OTT platform is the initial distribution point. “Our distribution would not be possible if we didn’t have our own multiplatform. We aren’t going to stay here idle waiting for carriers to have room on the grid to get on. Most everybody is delighted with the channel, but we have already decided to start our programming through our own OTT on May 30th.The channel already has two original shows: Dos Esquinas y 10 Rounds. One is a martial arts and contact sports newscast and the other is made up of 10 segments of current affairs on boxing and other sports.
