Adeline Cassin, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Robert Gold, SVP, Distribution at CuriosityStream, announced at the recent NATPE that reaching the Latin American market with their platform specialized in the broadcast of non-fiction entertainment content is among their main priorities.
“We want to position ourselves worldwide as the leading factual entertainment company in all the branches: science, technology, history, nature, lifestyle, travel, adventure. We are a platform that serves the entire family and something we have noticed in our data & analytics and studies that we do well with millennials between 18 and 34, that is a market everyone is seeking to engage,” reported Cassin.
The executive also mentioned that 40% of the world population likes to be nourished with knowledge, which is why its target is becoming very vast.
For his part, Gold said that they haven´t closed any deals in Latin America yet, but are on their way, and commented that all the series and documentaries are dubbed or subtitled into Spanish and Portuguese, so people in the entire region may enjoy them.
“We launched on the platform a documentary made in Chile by renowned Chilean producers. It is called Wild Chile and is about some amazing felines that are specified in that region. Our world-class programming truly is global. A feline or a shark has universal appeal, across every culture and language.” ended Gold.
