Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) unveiled a new corporate structure and company mission in anticipation of the upcoming international market, NATPE 2015, according to Marcello Coltro, EVP of Content Distribution for Cisneros Media, who announced the promotions of Helen Jurado and Miguel Somoza, both to the position of vice president of Sales.Jurado will be responsible for the Central and South American regions with emphasis on developing the Brazilian and Argentinian markets; while Somoza will oversee the countries of North America with a focus on expanding the companys presence in Mexico and continuing to boost sales opportunities in the United States and Canada. To empower our sales executives and increase our presence in core markets, while expanding our clients portfolio, we defined a solid strategic plan that includes the implementation of new sales strategies, revaluation and enhancement of our vast portfolio of products from third-party producers to our original programming securing an exclusive mix of formats, scripts and productions that target a wide range of viewers, Coltro emphasized. As part of the sales structure of the content licensing area, Cristóbal Ponte of Sahara Management Holdings, long-time exclusive independent sales representative, will continue to represent CMD catalogue in Europa, Africa and the Middle East.Completing the global sales force is none other than former CMD vice president Cesar Díaz, who recently ventured on his own, launching an independent licensing company, 7A Media. Díaz will serve as an independent representative for Asia, in addition to evaluating and developing special projects.
