Cinematic Media bets on connectivity and on planning from pre-production to facilitate color management to series and feature film producers.
Scott Evans, CEO of Cinematic Media, and Arturo Sedano, director of the company, highlighted the incorporation of Sohonet technology to have a robust connectivity that allows them to work almost in real time from Mexico with professionals in Los Angeles or Europe.
Sedano explains: “This technology allows us to work in 4K in real time. For example, we can have the producer in New York, the colorist in Los Angeles and the client doing revisions in the Cinematic Media theaters in Mexico City”.
Evans highlighted the previous work they make to deliver in the times the industry demands. “Our philosophy and concept is the management of color from pre-production. Our position is more like a partner of the production company. We are trying to agree on collocation of color from the pre-production phase, that is later continued in the shooting and in post-production, which allows us to compete and reach the standards and times companies like Netflix or Amazon demand.”
Sedano punctualizes: “We want producers to forget about the complicated tech part of delivering multi formats, QC and IMF, among other things, and to just concentrate on the creative part.”
