Fans of the famous chart-topping Mexican corrido band Los Cuates de Sinaloa will be able to enjoy their acting performance in the exclusive worldwide premiere of the original movie, ¿Cómo le Digo?, when it premieres on the nation’s leading Spanish-language movie channel, Cinelatino, on Friday, June 16, with a repeat on Sunday, June 18, 2017.
Inspired by a song by the same name by Adolfo Valenzuela from Twins Enterprises, ¿Cómo le Digo? tells the story of two friends who are caught in the middle of a love triangle that leads to betrayal, infidelity, and revenge.
Set against the backdrop of a small-time drug ring in East L.A., a beautiful woman seduces the two friends to get to the man who murdered her mother.
Gabriel and Nano Berrelleza, the two cousins who make up Los Cuates de Sinaloa, star in the mystery thriller alongside Michelle Vargas and Henry Zakka. The film also features music from Los Sobrinos de Sinaloa, as well as appearances from other popular corrido musicians, among them Edgar Quintero, Christian Salazar y Los Desvelados, Luis Barraza, and Kike Meneses.
“Los Cuates de Sinaloa have a huge and passionate fan base in the United States, and we’re thrilled to bring this film exclusively to our viewers. Corridos, which are narrative ballads about socially relevant topics, are an important part of Mexican musical culture. We saw enormous potential in turning a famous corrido into a movie with musical components,” said Jim McNamara, vice chairman of Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., Cinelatino’s parent company.
