Cinelatino celebrates 17 years on the air

This month, Cinelatino celebrates its 17th anniversary on the air. “We are proud to celebrate 17 years of being the premiere destination for Spanish-language film in the U.S. Our long history and demonstrated success underscores our ongoing commitment to deliver the biggest and most important Spanish-language films, which can only be seen on Cinelatino. We are devoted to maintaining our position as the number one Spanish-language film channel in the country,” said James M. McNamara, Chairman of Cinelatino.Founded in 1993 by MVS Communications in Mexico City, Cinelatino launched in the United States in 1999 and now has approximately four million subscribers throughout the country, as well as an additional six million subscribers in Mexico and Latin America. Cinelatino is jointly-owned by MVS Communications, InterMedia Partners and Panamax Films.
