Cinelatino Ladrones
Cinelatino has acquired the U.S. television premiere of the Mexican box office hit Ladrones (Thieves), which will debut on the network on Sunday, September 2, at 11pm ET/8pm PT.
The hilarious comedy will re-run on Monday, September 3, along with a lineup of popular blockbuster hits as part of a special weekend-long Labor Day celebration.
The third highest-grossing Latino film in the U.S. in 2015, the Latino Robin Hood sequel to Ladrón Que Roba a Ladrón reunites the criminal duo Alejandro Toledo and Emilio Sánchez as they work together to recruit a ragtag band of helpers to save a small American town from a ruthless family of crooks.
The clever and witty Mexican comedy marks the first time that Mexican superstars Fernando Colunga and Eduardo Yañez come together on the big screen. The actors are accompanied by an A-list cast that includes Miguel Varoni, Vadhir Derbez, Jessica Lindsey and Óscar Torre.
“Ladrón Que Roba a Ladrón was a smash hit among audiences and the hilarious sequel brings together a multinational Latin American cast to tell a classic crime story with a Latino twist. Non-stop action and comedy is a winning combination among Latino viewers, and we’re confident the ratings will reflect that,” said Jim McNamara, Vice Chairman of Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., Cinelatino’s parent company.
