Chris Philip joined Televisa USA to lead its new global distribution and production unit, aiming to place its formats and series both in the U.S. Hispanic and the international markets, to generate international co-productions and supervise Televisa USA sales worldwide.As part of the agreement, Televisa USA will have first right of refusal of the content produced by Sierra/Engine Television, the production and distribution house of Philip, and his other companies Sierra Affinity and Engine Entertainment. This includes action and adventures series: Crossbones, Siberia, Parker, Tag Team and Coliseum.This is an excellent opportunity both for Televisa USA and Engine because it would allow Televisa USA to enter new markets and Engine will have access to financing for new productions, Philip told PRODU.Philip founded Engine Entertainment in 2009 and was later acquired by Electus of Ben Silverman. Formerly, Philip was president of Worldwide Sales of Power and VP of NBC Universal International Television, company where he worked for 13 years.
