Chiquis Rivera, daughter of Jenni Rivera and star of the NBC Universo series, The Riveras (20x60’) and Bilai Joa Silar, senior Programming and Production VP at NBC Universo
Chiquis Rivera, daughter of Jenni Rivera and star of the NBC Universo series, The Riveras (20×60’) and Bilai Joa Silar, senior Programming and Production VP at NBC Universo, offered more details on the biopic Mariposa de Barrio, that Telemundo will produce on the life of Jenni Rivera.
“Mariposa de Barrio is going to touch many hearts, I want the audience, her fans, to know the woman, all she went through and overcame, her strength, to get where she did, that her life was not easy. I want both women and men to feel inspired by this series. They are going to be able to see the real woman, not Jenni Rivera the artist, but the woman behind that name,” expressed Chiquis Rivera.
The casting of the series has already begun, but details were not disclosed.
For her part Silar talked about the reality-type series The Riveras. “For us The Riveras is very important because it talks about Jenni’s children. We know it has been very successful because the audience is very interested in knowing more about them. We have the opportunity to be close to a family that our audience loves very much.”
The Riveras will have a break in December (it was launched on Sunday, October 16) and will be back in March 2017. Silar mentioned the possibility of a second season.
