WAPA América and Televisión Dominicana have launched on Charter Communications across California and Texas, including the key markets of Los Angeles, Dallas, El Paso and Austin.
The move makes the networks available in both states on Charter’s Latino View tier, as well as Charter’s newly created Spectrum bundle package, Mi Plan Latino.
“We applaud Charter for making WAPA América and Televisión Dominicana available to their viewers in key Hispanic cities, including Los Angeles and Dallas. With the ever-increasing migration of Puerto Ricans to the United States, and to non-traditional Puerto Rican states like California and Texas, it’s imperative to have relevant content they can relate to. Dominicans are the fourth-largest Hispanic group in the country and they depend on Televisión Dominicana to stay connected to their culture back home. We look forward to Charter’s continued rollout of these networks,” said Alan Sokol, president of Hemisphere Media Group, Inc. WAPA América’s parent company.
