CBeebies strengthens its presence in the US Hispanic Market

CBeebies, BBC’s preschool channel, announced that just shy of its second anniversary it has successfully consolidated its presence in the pay TV industry as a result of the quality of its content, BBC’s commitment to the region, and its rapid expansion in both the US Hispanic Market and Latin America. CBeebies, available in the Hispanic market through the DishLATINO package on channel 848 and in 15 countries in Latin America, continues working on increasing its distribution and delivering on its commitment to offer a broader variety of new programming content for little tykes.”Between December 2008 and July 2010, CBeebies experienced a 43% growth in distribution in the US Hispanic market and Latin America, demonstrating the need that exists in both regions for preschool content that is entertaining, possesses high quality, and is 100% in Spanish,” said Jessica Rodríguez, Senior VP and General Manager for BBC Worldwide Latin America and U.S. Hispanic.
