The exclusiveness agreement between VIP 2000 TV and Casablanca Brazil is embarking on a new project, this time with Ecuavisa as a third partner. The three companies will co-produce El Naza, a series that has two, 20-episode (one hour each) seasons confirmed.
“We had been thinking for a long time about how to please open TV, cable and platforms, and El Naza has a middle point that enables it to perform well in each one. It has the urban aspects, because it is set in a Latin American neighborhood, it has sports and mysticism,” adds Roxana Rotundo, CEO of VIP 2000 TV.
The series revolves around the miracles that are attributed to the so called Black Christ, fervently adored in Latin America, and how the character Nazareno González starts to a materialize them, stemming from real-life cases.
“We have established important alliances that today are crystalizing in this first great project. El Naza has all the ingredients to become our first multiplatform success. The same way El Naza wants to recover his neighborhood from criminality, this alliance has the ambitious desire to recover the screens with stories that assert values,” pointed out Ana Cecilia Alvarado, VP Development and Co-production at Ecuavisa.
Casablanca Brazil is a key piece in the Alliance to reach new markets. “This alliance with VIP 2000 TV will bring big stories that will resonate strongly, not only in the Hispanic market, focusing on our ability to produce in any language,” added Arlette Siaretta, president of the production company.
