The producer Carla Estrada will stop producing Televisa´s morning program Hoy, next December 31st to venture into the world of TV series, with a 13-episode story based on the life of the Mexican songwriter Joan Sebastián, who passed away on July 13th.”My next project will not be a telenovela but a series. It will be the story of Joan Sebastián as a novel, that will have many hues, and will be very interesting for he had a rich life regarding his musical history. I have approached his family and whoever wants to participate is welcome. What we want is to generate a story that shows the great human being he was, on and off the stage, she said. She announced that they are starting with the script process, which will result in a 13-episode story and will soon start with auditions. Carla Estrada has produced renown telenovelas for Televisa, such as Amor en Silencio, Lazos de Amor, El Privilegio de Amar, Pasión, and the most recent one, Sortilegio, in 2009.
