In February, Canal 22 Internacional, celebrates the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia with a variety of enriching programming that provides an overview of each days events and demonstrates Russias cultural and historical impact on the world.Throughout the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Canal 22 Internacional will present more than 60 special programs featuring acclaimed specialists and intellectuals such as Francisco Martín Moreno (History), Rafael Pérez Gay (Literature), Natasha Lagunas (Dance), Mario Lavista (Music), Martha Figueroa (Gastronomy) and Alexandra Ruths (Daily life). Each will present a different view of Russian culture, including detailed descriptions for the sporting events taking place during Sochi 2014.Beginning on February 7, at 1am ET/10pm PT, Canal 22 Internacional premieres Romper el Hielo, hosted by Laura García and Artús Chávez. Airing nightly, the show takes viewers on a journey of discovery, examining traditional Russian literature, music, dance, movies and contemporary art with additional commentary from famous media analysts, athletes, musicians and writers. In addition, the series will provide a glimpse into everyday life in Russia, from the perspective and experiences of Mexicans who live there.Canal 22 Internacionals news program, Noticias 22, will present two separate programs nightly from February 7 through February 23.
