Last Monday August 14 we launched the new programming and image of Canal 1, reaching more than 1.7 million TV viewers, to obtain a growth of 80%.
“We had a very positive response from Colombians during our first day on the air with the new Canal 1. With great pride and gratitude towards TV viewers, I can say that in the morning slot we grew more than 300%, and in the night schedule –that includes primetime— we grew more than 22%”, assured Felipe Boshell, president of Canal 1.
One of the great bets of the channel’s new programming is the reality Guerreros, growing by 78% in the 6 to 8pm schedule slot.
“Breaking all the traditional parallels in the national offer, we will prove that we can program differently and offer Colombians a truly different option. Our morning newscast, Primera Hora, was national trend in Twitter for more than 4 consecutive hours, with a growth in rating higher than 800%. On the other hand, Pregunta Yamid is consolidated as leader in its segment” stated Boshell.
With 80% of its live programming in the prime slots, TV viewers were able to enjoy an innovative offer with much more content, less commercials and great talents.
