Alejandro Rincón
Ten years ago, two Venezuelan producers settled in Mexico and created Boomdog, a name they chose because it was available in the Registry. They are Alejandro Rincón and Carlos Perna.Together with Sony Pictures they set up two studios in the outskirts of Mexico City, in the region of Huixquilucan, where they have made programs such as Next Top Model Mexico and many others for cable channels, particularly for E!. They have offered maquila and other services to international production companies, such as Endemol and local ones like Televisa.A decade later, Boomdog is positioned in Mexico as #1 in independent entertainment production and has announced the beginning of fiction series, starting with El Vato, already purchased by NBC Universo. They are expanding their studios and constructing a new office building, besides the house of the program Big Brother for Telemundo. Several years ago, Sonny sold their part of the business to them, so now they manage everything themselves.Alejandro Rincón, general director and executive producer, received PRODU in their premises and explained the current status of the company and their future plans.
